Oxymat is a Danish based company is specialized in designing and manufacturing of on-site medical oxygen generators using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology. They have been manufacturing oxygen generators since 1978 and they posses first-hand knowledge of the market, developments, demands and possibilities that PSA technology holds.

They are headquartered just north of Copenhagen, Denmark and have several employees working in manufacturing locations in Denmark and Slovakia. Oxymat customers are global and they have strong service back-up.

Oxymat standard generator systems are available in nearly several standard models, and they cover oxygen flowrates from 0,6 to 322 m³/hr.

PSA Oxygen & Nitrogen Generator Systems

Working Principal

  • Oxymat A/S uses two columns system having molecular sieves which ensure smooth & continuous production.
  • Dry compressed air is blown through a valve to the vessel where the pressure is built to reach 5 to 7 bar(g). Nitrogen is tied to a molecular sieve during the building of pressure, and the oxygen is allowed to pass through to the accumulation tank.
  • While pressure is build in one vessel, the second remains without pressure.
  • A part of the produced gas is used for regeneration of the molecular sieve.
  • For Oxygen, Zeolite type 13X is used. The molecular sieve is fully regenerative and has a life span on to 40.000 operation hours.

The entire PSA system can be subdivided into the following:

  • Compressed air system (Air compressor, Refrigeration dryer, Air receiver & Filters).
  • PSA skid

B) Ozone

Ozone is a highly effective method for bacteriological treatment and useful in a variety of everyday situations from removing odor to ensuring clean, high quality drinking water from the tap.

But O3 is more than just effective. It is also environmentally safe, which makes it highly suitable for treating water in enormous quantities; both drinking water and industrial waste water, i.e. in industrial slaughterhouses.

At Oxymat, we offer oxygen feed gas plants for Ozone. Feed gas plants are highly cost effective and low in energy use. You can expect reduction in your energy consumption with up to 30%.

Ozone production
Ozone is very reactive and unstable. It cannot be stored and has to be produced where and when it is needed. Using oxygen (O2) as feed-gas allows the ozone generators to break down some of the O2 molecules into free oxygen molecules, which immediately attacks existing O2 molecules and forms ozone (O3).

D) Petrochem & Oil refineries

I) Medical

Demand for oxygen generators in the medical field is growing rapidly. Stricter international medical regulations is also putting a tougher demand onoxygen plants for flow, pressure and purity monitoring.

J) Marine, Oil and Gas

Marine conditions pose a number of challenges and issues. Size, weight, rough sea conditions, corrosion, high temperatures, cargo needing protection, just to name a few. Oxymat’s Marine, Oil & Gas division produces nitrogen PSA generator systems to the marine industry with the necessary experience and know-how to address these issues. Compared to a traditional membrane based system, PSA systems significantly decrease redundancy and can cut energy consumption with up to 30%. In addition, a PSA system can produce 5% or lower oxygen levels.

With the highest quality in components, PSA systems are extremely reliable with at least 48.000 running hours before CMS replacement is needed. Easy and quick assembly

The X4 nitrogen generators consist of small parts that can easily be taken apart and sent out to a ship wherever it is. A service engineer can install it during the ship’s voyage, contrary to most competing systems where installation requires shipyard docking of 2-3 weeks. We have service stations in Singapore, Athens, Copenhagen and Istanbul. In addition, our highly trained marine specialists travel world wide at short notice, to trouble shoot technical problems on board.
